The House of Wickersham was built in 1898 for Frank Hammond of the Sheep Creek Mining Company. Judge James Wickersham purchased it in 1928. Judge Wickersham helped establish the territory's legal system and was a leading proponent of statehood. The house is sometimes open for tours in the summer.
