The Alaska Marine Highway ferry system offers auto and passenger connections to Juneau. Advance reservations are highly recommended. Call toll free in the U.S. and Canada at 800-642-0066. It is encouraged for travelers to use the on-line reservation system for the marine highway if you have Internet access.
From the Juneau Airport, there are several ways to get to your overnight accommodations when you arrive at Juneau International Airport. Cab companies keep cars posted at the airport. Some hotels will provide free airport transfers. A local shuttle service provides hotel transfers for a small fee. Rental cars are available at the airport or will offer a free pick up from the airport or other locations. Capital Transit offers express bus service from the Airport.
From the ferry terminal, travelers can take a cab into town or take the ferry shuttle provided May through September for a small fee. Some rental car companies will also make special arrangements for pick up at the ferry terminal. Click here for a list of all your transportation options.
