Our tours are longer in length and more inclusive, and MUCH more personalized than cheaper competitors. Our tours are the LEAST expensive in Juneau on a cost/hour basis. Although we are Coast Guard certified for 12 passengers, we normally limit guests to 9 (except a family or single group). This way the experience is always very personal and uncrowded. Enter the Fly-Zone! This eco-adventure combines the thrill of gliding above the treetops in a rich rainforest on over 6,000 feet of dual ziplines, suspension bridges, and a ground-based trail network. Plus a channel crossing aboard an expedition craft, mountain ascent on an off-road vehicle, and aerial exploration of hidden relics of a world famous gold mine.

Board a high speed vessel for a Gastineau Channel crossing, passing Mayflower Island and Suicide Falls, with a beach landing at the remote Treadwell Mine site on Douglas Island and direct access to the forest outfitting base camp.

Your professionally trained guides will outfit you with state of the art safety equipment and provide a detailed safety briefing before transporting you in a 4 x 4 all-terrain vehicle up the densely forested hillside to the first zipline tree platform. This is your introduction to nearly a mile of dual high tension cables linking a network of platforms mounted high in carefully selected spruce and hemlock trees.

Your guides will progressively ease you into the forest canopy along ten ziplines. Cross two aerial suspension bridges, with breathtaking views of spectacular Bullion Creek, and enjoy unique views of Juneau from the treetops. Discover hidden ruins of the historic Treadwell Mine (1881-1917), once one of the world’s largest gold mines, and zip over a 180 foot deep “glory hole”. Looking from above, see the ruins of the original mine refinery, where millions of dollars of molten gold was poured into ingot molds.

You will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of Alaska’s rainforest throughout this award winning nature-based adventure. The last zipline takes you to a final platform to experience the thrill of rappelling into base camp, where you will receive a light snack and be presented with a custom cast Alaska Canopy Adventures medal in recognition of your achievement. An informative narration is provided on the channel crossing.

Note: This excursion is designed for persons in good physical condition. Participants must be comfortable with heights. Once that happens, the processor will contact you directly for payment and shipping details. Depending on how you choose to have your fish processed (packaged, flash frozen, smoked, etc.), rates are $5-$8 per pound which includes FedEx shipping. The “Perfect” Alaskan Adventure - 6 ¼ hours

This tour is considered the best combination that Southeast Alaska has to offer! It combines whale watching, brown bear viewing, and a 30 minute flight-seeing trip over the Juneau Icefield. From the air (weather permitting) you will be able to see several glaciers, the inside passage, and possibly even mountain goats!

Embark on a 2 ½-hour whale-watching and nature cruise from Juneau to the Tlingit village of Hoonah, located on Chichagof Island. Humpback whales, sea lions and bald eagles are just a few of the wildlife encounters experienced on every trip. A tasty boxed meal will be served during your trip.

Your vessel will land at one of the most beautiful beaches in Alaska, a place locals call "little Hawaii." Board a van for a short transfer to a boardwalk trail leading to a salmon-bearing stream. At the wildlife viewing area, you'll enjoy approximately 40 minutes in the Tongass National Forest to search for brown bears and Sitka blacktail deer in their natural habitat.

Transfer to the local airport and embark on a flightseeing tour back to Juneau. Your pilot will fly over the Juneau Icefield to view several glaciers, including the famed Mendenhall before landing in the capital city.

Ground Transport
Transportation to Juneau Int’l airport and Auke Bay Harbor from downtown Juneau is provided and pre-arranged for you. Cruise ship docks are located in downtown Juneau. We will also provide transportation from/to most Juneau accommodations.

Clothing
We recommend dressing in layers and suggest a T-shirt, sweatshirt, and a light jacket as well as long pants and comfortable, sturdy shoes or lightweight hikers.

Gear
Binoculars are provided for the marine portion of the tour. Ponchos will be provided during the bear view if necessary.
