Plan a Meeting or Convention
Great facilities, service and a trip-of-a-lifetime
location ensure a successful event for your group
When your group is ready to meet, Juneau's hard to beat.
One of America's most picturesque cities, Juneau boasts great meeting and convention facilities in a charming downtown nestled smack-dab in Alaska's gorgeous wilderness. And since coming to Alaska is the trip of a lifetime, meetings here traditionally have strong attendance. I mean, would you turn down a chance to go whale watching or glacier flightseeing between sessions? Exactly.
But we're more than just a pretty place. The Juneau Convention & Visitors Bureau makes meeting planning a breeze, makes sure your event goes off without a hitch, and helps ensure your delegation has a memorable experience in Alaska's capital city.
Here's what one meeting planner had to say..."We had lots of positive comments about the friendliness of the Juneau people. The attendees also liked the fact that Juneau was small and they felt more connected to the city and the other registrants because we weren't spread out across a big city.” Bev Smith - Alaska Math & Science Teachers Conference - Oct 2009.
Centennial Hall Convention Center in Juneau's Downtown Historic District can easily host up to 500 people for a sitdown dinner, and a variety of other facilities around town can accommodate smaller groups. Many of Juneau's meeting locations are also in majestic settings. Just imagine your opening reception atop Mount Roberts, offering sweeping views of the town and valley below, or along the banks of the Gastineau Channel or Auke Lake.
Whatever your preference, the Juneau Convention & Visitors Bureau's top-notch meetings and conventions staff is ready to help. Call 800-587-2201 and ask for Jessie Knudsen, or call her directly at (907) 586-1749 for more details.
