Alaskan Brewing Co

Alaskan Brewing Company put Alaska on the map for craft beer and adventure enthusiasts in 1986 when it opened its doors in the remote capital of Juneau. Surrounded by the Inside Passage and over 1,500 square miles of the Juneau Ice Field with no roads in or out, Juneau isn't the obvious spot for a brewery. Still, the vast wilderness, abundant wildlife, and endless outdoor adventures told Alaskan Brewing Company co-founders Marcy and Geoff Larson this was where they wanted to make a living brewing beer

Over the next 37 years, the brewery became one of the most award-winning craft breweries in the history of the Great American Beer Festival and expanded distribution to 25 states. Juneau remains the sole location where we brew and package all Alaskan products.

Alaska and our hometown of Juneau have inspired every aspect of our brewing process, from local ingredients and label designs to brewing innovations and sustainability efforts to minimize our impact. Travel Juneau

Formed in 1985, Travel Juneau is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the visitor industry and its economic benefit to Juneau, Alaska. As a destination marketing organization, Travel Juneau markets Juneau to independent travelers, groups, meetings and conventions, while helping locally owned businesses market their services to visitors and potential visitors.
