Mendenhall Fireside Lectures: "At the Glacier" highlights from the City Museum Permanent Collection
The Mendenhall Glacier features prominently in the collection of paintings, photographs, and other artwork at the Juneau-Douglas City Museum. Join museum staff for a view of how our community has spent time at the glacier, along with highlights of some favorite pieces.
The annual Fireside Lectures are a free, twelve-week series of hour-long, public presentations every Friday evening at 7 p.m. AKST, from January to March. This year the presentations will return to their usual in-person setting, with an accompanying virtual livestream here on Facebook. No tickets are necessary. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For an accessible copy of the 2023 Fireside Lecture Series schedule, please call the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center at (907)-789-0097 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or email amber.debardelaben@usda.gov.
