Lily Hope Weaver Studio

Lily Hope, Weaver/Artist primarily creates ceremonial Chilkat and Ravenstail Dancing regalia: dancing blankets, aprons, dance leggings, headdresses, and fine wall art pieces. She teaches these Native art forms across the USA and Canada. She also weaves "One Square Inch of Ceremony" jewelry. They're hand-spun and finger-twined woolen earrings and bolo ties or necklaces. These are available in downtown Juneau at Kindred Post, Sealaska Heritage Institute Store, Bear's Lair, and Aan Hit. You can see her monumental work in the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery collection, Portland Art Museum, Museum of Nature and Man (Germany), Eiteljorg, The Burke, Houston Museum of Natural History and numerous private collectors. Please follow her on Instagram @lilyhopeweaver, visit her website, and try sending her a text. Maybe she's in Juneau this week (gosh, she travels a lot) to give you a private tour of her downtown working studio. Gunalchéesh for supporting local Alaska Native Artists on your adventures in Juneau.
