Juneau Maritime Festival
The Juneau Maritime Festival is a free, full-day waterfront celebration of the maritime history, culture, and commerce that define Juneau and Southeast Alaska. Join us Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Peratrovich Plaza for live entertainment, free grilled fish tastings, cultural performances, food vendors, a beer garden, harbor cruises, tug of war, and more than 100 vendor booths, all right on the water.
Why Go
This is one of Juneau’s signature spring events, a lively taste of waterfront life before the summer season kicks into gear.
What to Expect
Live music carries the day while local food vendors and a beer garden keep things fueled. Browse more than 100 vendor booths featuring locally crafted goods, fishing and boating gear, and local services. Hop aboard one of several themed harbor cruises, join the tug-of-war competition, or cheer loudly from the sidelines. Do not miss the U.S. Coast Guard search-and-rescue helicopter demonstration, which is always impressive to watch.
