Eaglecrest Ski Area
Eaglecrest Ski Area is Juneau, Alaska’s community-owned mountain playground, located just 12 miles from downtown on scenic Douglas Island. Spanning more than 640 skiable acres with a 1,620-foot vertical drop, Eaglecrest offers terrain for all abilities, from groomed runs and gladded trails to wide-open bowls, along with groomed Nordic skiing. Three double chairlifts serve a big-mountain experience with a welcoming, small-mountain feel.
Beyond winter recreation, Eaglecrest is a unique venue for weddings, special events, and conferences, with daily lodge rental options offering panoramic mountain views in a relaxed alpine setting. The area also features year-round public use cabin rentals, providing a memorable overnight stay for adventurers and groups alike.
Winter operations typically run from early December through mid-April, while the off-season invites hikers and mountain bikers to explore miles of scenic trails. On-site amenities include equipment rentals, a Snowsports School, retail and repair services, day lockers, and the Eaglecrest Grill—making Eaglecrest a destination for adventure, celebration, and retreat in every season.
